At Balloon Gift Boutique & Events, every balloon arrangement is carefully prepared, checked and packaged before leaving the unit to help ensure it reaches you in the best possible condition.

Please take a moment to read the following important care and collection information before collecting your order.

Collection & Transport

All helium balloons leave the unit safely bagged for protection during transport.

To transport your balloons safely, please ensure:

  • Rear seats are folded down where possible

  • Car seats, pushchairs, shopping and sharp objects are removed beforehand

  • No passengers travel in the area where balloons will be placed

  • Your vehicle has sufficient space for the size of the arrangement ordered

  • The vehicle is cool and well ventilated during warmer weather

Large balloon displays, stacks and personalised arrangements can be much bigger than expected once inside a vehicle. If you are unsure whether your order will fit, please ask before collection.

Balloon Gift Boutique cannot be held responsible for damage caused during transportation once the order has left the unit.

Responsibility Once Collected

Once collected, responsibility for the balloons transfers to the customer.

This includes:

  • Damage during transport

  • Popped balloons

  • Balloons exposed to heat, cold or direct sunlight

  • Balloons left in vehicles

  • Damage caused by pets, children or sharp objects

  • Incorrect handling after collection

Please handle all balloons carefully and keep away from rough surfaces, sharp edges and excessive movement during transport.

Balloon Preparation & Quality Checks

All pre-booked balloon orders are created approximately 12–24 hours before collection where possible.

This allows time for:

  • Full inflation checks

  • Float testing

  • Inspection for faults or defects

  • Ensuring arrangements are presented to the highest possible standard

Latex and foil balloons are checked thoroughly before collection. However, balloons remain delicate products and environmental conditions can still affect performance after collection.

Float Times & Environmental Conditions

Estimated float times are only a guide and can vary significantly depending on:

  • Temperature

  • Humidity

  • Air pressure

  • Direct sunlight

  • Air conditioning or heating

  • Transport conditions

  • General handling and care

Cold air may cause balloons to temporarily shrink, while warm temperatures can cause expansion and popping.

For best results:

  • Store balloons indoors at room temperature

  • Avoid conservatories and hot cars

  • Keep away from radiators, fires and direct sunlight

  • Avoid leaving balloons outside overnight

Helium Balloon Information

Helium balloons naturally lose helium over time and will gradually reduce in size and float quality.

Please note:

  • Confetti balloons may become cloudy over time due to static and atmosphere changes

  • Chrome and metallic balloons are more sensitive to temperature fluctuations

  • Bubble and Bobo balloons can wrinkle or distort in colder temperatures

  • Double stuffed and custom balloons may have slightly different float durations due to additional materials inside the balloon

Outdoor Use

Balloons are designed primarily for indoor use unless otherwise discussed.

Outdoor conditions such as:

  • Wind

  • Rain

  • Heat

  • Uneven surfaces

  • Moisture
    can drastically reduce balloon longevity and stability.

Balloon Gift Boutique cannot guarantee balloons once used outdoors.

Important Safety Information

Children should always be supervised around balloons.

Please dispose of broken balloons immediately and keep uninflated balloons away from young children.

By collecting your order, you acknowledge and accept the care guidance and responsibilities outlined above.

Walk-In & Immediate Collection Orders

Please note that walk-in and same-day/immediate collection orders are created within a much shorter timeframe due to demand and availability at the time of ordering.

While every effort is made to fully check and prepare these orders to the same high standard, they may not undergo the same extended testing period as pre-booked designs created 12–24 hours in advance.

For personalised walk-in orders, please allow additional preparation time during busy periods.

Walk-in collections are subject to:

  • Stock availability

  • Time available for preparation

  • Queue times during busy periods

  • Vehicle suitability at the time of collection

Customers collecting walk-in or immediate orders are still fully responsible for ensuring:

  • Their vehicle has adequate space

  • Balloons are transported safely

  • Balloon care guidance is followed after collection

To guarantee availability, specific colours, personalised items and larger arrangements, advance booking is always recommended.
